A simple glance at someone won't tell anyone, anything about their life. Fears, goals, dreams, and passions are hidden, and most often never revealed. A glance can lead you to guess a nationality, assume a person's mood, or even a person's age. However a simple glance will never reveal a single passion.
My face may reveal I come from some sort of Hispanic country. My face might give off that I'm nice and friendly, or annoyed and naturally angry. If you're lucky you can maybe assume my age. However no one would know that despite my sometimes angry facial expressions I love helping others. I'm in love with giving back to a community that has given me so much. Within the last year I have been involved with my local Interact club that sometimes pairs up with our Rotary club. I've helped at soup kitchens, and community clean ups, and am now currently helping in promoting a walk to raise money for people with ALS or MS. To me, helping out is just something that feels right. Community service just makes people more human, and teaches something valuable. To me community service is more than just credit for hours, or something nice to put on an application or resume. My face would never tell anyone that. It takes more than a glance or superficially knowing me to know my passion for helping others.
It takes more than just looking at someone to know their passions.
